33-18-102 . Unfair methods or deceptive practices prohibited -- refusal to renew. (1) No person shall engage in this state in any trade practice which is defined in this chapter as or determined pursuant to this chapter to be an unfair method of competition or an unfair or deceptive act or practice in the business of insurance. (2) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prevent an insurer owned or controlled by an association or organization, including a mutual insurer formed to provide insurance to the members of an association or organization, from refusing to renew a casualty or liability policy for nonpayment of dues to the association or organization if payment of dues is a condition for obtaining or continuing such insurance.
