33-17-408 . Reciprocity -- nonresident insurance producer licensing and continuing education. (1) The commissioner shall waive any requirements, except for the requirements of 33-17-401 , for a nonresident applicant for an insurance producer's license who has a valid license from the applicant's home state if the applicant's home state awards nonresident licenses to residents of this state on the same basis. (2) A nonresident insurance producer's satisfaction of the insurance producer's home state's continuing education requirements for licensed insurance producers constitutes satisfaction of this state's continuing education requirements if the nonresident insurance producer's home state recognizes the satisfactions of its continuing education requirements imposed upon insurance producers from this state on the same basis.
