33-1-1502 . Application of criminal law and procedure. (1) Unless a rule or statute specifically states otherwise, the provisions of Titles 45 and 46 apply to the enforcement of the offenses provided for in this part. (2) In any prosecution for the offenses provided for and charged under this part, for the purposes of and in addition to the provisions of 46-2-101 and 46-3-110 , offenses are deemed to have been committed in any of the following locations: (a) the county or judicial district in which the purported loss, damage, or accident occurs; (b) the county or judicial district in which the insurance policy provides coverage or, in the case of motor vehicle insurance, where the vehicle is garaged; or (c) the county or judicial district in which money or other insurance proceeds were received for the fraudulent act.
