The most recent system of state plane coordinates established by the National Geodetic Survey, or its successor, based on the National Spatial Reference System, or its successor * , and known as the State Plane Coordinate System, for defining and stating the positions or locations of points on the surface of the earth within the state of Missouri shall be known as the "Missouri State Plane Coordinate System".
