Missouri Code § 51.100

Location of office.

Each clerk of the county commission shall keep his office at such place or places as the county commission shall direct, not more than two hundred yards from the courthouse or permanent meeting place of the county commission of which he is clerk, and there shall keep the records, papers, seal and property of his office and transact his official business.
