Missouri Code § 44.020

State emergency management agency created.

There is hereby created within the department of public safety, the "State Emergency Management Agency", for the general purpose of assisting in coordination of national, state and local activities related to emergency functions by coordinating response, recovery, planning and mitigation. This agency shall also serve as the statewide coordinator for activities associated with the National Flood Insurance Program.
