1. Upon receipt of a report of a missing child, the patrol may notify the state registrar of vital statistics of the disappearance and may provide the registrar with information concerning the identity of the missing child. 2. If the patrol has reason to believe that a missing child has been enrolled in a specific Missouri elementary or secondary school, the patrol shall notify the last such known school of the disappearance. 3. The patrol shall by rule determine the manner and form of notices and information required by sections 43.406 to 43.409 .
