1. The board shall upon application issue a professional engineering license to any individual who holds a degree at the bachelor's level or higher in engineering and who has at least twenty years of satisfactory engineering experience, and who passes part two of the examination defined in section 327.241 , provided that any such application is accompanied by the required fee. 2. The board shall upon application issue a professional engineering license to any individual who holds a degree from an Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET, INC.) or its equivalent and a doctorate in engineering from an institution that offers Engineering Accreditation Commission programs, and who passes part two of the examination defined in section 327.241 , provided that any such application is accompanied by the required fee. The doctorate degree must be approved by the board for the candidate to qualify.
