Missouri Code § 269.025

Director may investigate suspected violations, civil penalties — review, distribution of penalties.

1. The director, upon his own information or upon the complaint of any person, may institute an investigation including the inspection of any premises or vehicle upon which any dead animal except wildlife taken under the Missouri wildlife code is or may be found, and if any violation of this chapter is deemed to exist the director may assess a civil penalty not to exceed one thousand dollars. Any person against whom a civil penalty has been assessed under the provisions of this section may request and shall be granted a hearing in the county of the residence of said person, before the director in the manner provided in section 536.063 . Procedures and appeals shall be governed by the provisions of section 536.150 .
2. All civil penalties and assessments for violations shall be expended in accordance with the provisions of Article IX, Section 7 * , of the Missouri Constitution.
