Compensation and expenses of commissioners.

The compensation of the commissioners to be paid by the authority shall be determined by the commissioners, provided that the compensation of each commissioner shall not exceed the sum of one thousand two hundred dollars per annum. In addition, the commissioners shall be reimbursed by the authority for the actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
