1. The joint committee on public employee retirement shall meet within ten days after its creation and organize by selecting a chairman and a vice chairman, one of whom shall be a member of the senate and the other a member of the house of representatives. 2. The committee shall regularly meet at least quarterly. 3. A majority of the members of the committee shall constitute a quorum. 4. The members of the committee shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties.
