Missouri Code § 182.723

Personal property, funds and obligations of nine-director urban school districts used for public library purposes to be transferred to urban public district.

Upon the effective date of creation of an urban public library district any and all outstanding obligations of a nine-director urban school district incurred for public library purposes shall become the obligations of the corresponding urban public library district; all funds of such nine-director urban school district collected and held for public library purposes shall be transferred to and vested in the urban public library district; and all personal property held by such nine-director urban school district and used for public library purposes shall be transferred to and vested in the urban public library district. Any money borrowed and bonds issued for the purpose of purchasing sites for public library buildings or erecting, remodeling, or furnishing library buildings or any combination thereof shall be deemed obligations incurred for public library purposes.
