As used in sections 172.800 to 172.807 , unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the following terms shall mean: (1) "Alzheimer's disease and related disorders" , diseases resulting from significant destruction of brain tissue and characterized by a decline of memory and other intellectual functions. These diseases include but are not limited to progressive, degenerative and dementing illnesses such as presenile and senile dementias, Alzheimer's disease and other related disorders; (2) "Board of curators" , the board of curators of the University of Missouri; (3) "Investigator" , any person with research skills who seeks state funding for a research project under sections 172.800 to 172.807 ; (4) "Research project" , any original investigation for the advancement of scientific knowledge in the area of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders; (5) "Advisory board" , a board appointed by the board of curators to advise on the administration of the program established by sections 172.800 to 172.807 .
