Officers and meetings of council

(1) The council shall meet at least twice each year and shall elect annually during odd numbered years, a chairman from its physician members and from its respiratory care members a vice chairman. In even numbered years, it shall elect from its respiratory care members a chairman and from its physician members a vice chairman. The council may convene at the request of the chairman or as the board may determine for such other meetings as may be deemed necessary to transact its business. (2) A majority (five (5)) of the members of the council, including the chairman or vice chairman, constitute a quorum at any meeting and a majority of the required quorum is sufficient for the council to take action by vote.
