Contribution by Hinds County to enlargement and renovation of stadium

In keeping with the purposes of Sections 55-23-21 through 55-23-43 , the Board of Supervisors of Hinds County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to transfer and deliver to the Building Commission a sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) out of any funds on hand or received by Hinds County. When such funds are received by the Building Commission, they shall be deposited at interest in banks located in Hinds County according to the same formula used for the investment of excess state funds, and all interest accruing as a result thereof shall be returned to the Board of Supervisors of Hinds County.
