Mississippi Code § 49-23-23

Nothing in Sections 49-23-1 through 49-23-29 , shall be construed to abrogate or affect the provisions of any lawful ordinance, regulation or resolution, which are more restrictive than the provisions of such sections. Codes, 1942, § 8059.5-12; Laws, 1966, ch. 497, § 12, eff. 6/15/1966.
