(1) The District Attorney of the Seventh Circuit Court District may appoint two (2) full-time assistant district attorneys in addition to those authorized as of July 1, 2023, in Section 25-31-5 . The full-time assistant district attorneys shall receive compensation in an amount equal to the compensation paid to full-time assistant district attorneys in the Seventh Circuit Court District subject to available funds specifically appropriated therefor by the Legislature. (2) The District Attorney of the Seventh Circuit Court District may appoint one (1) full-time criminal investigator in addition to the criminal investigators authorized as of July 1, 2023 in Section 25-31-10 .
