REQUIREMENTS OF MAKERS OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES.

All vehicles made after January 1, 1985, and sold in the state, must have manufacturer's permanent identification number stamped in letters and numbers on the vehicle in the form and at a location prescribed by the commissioner.
All vehicles made after January 1, 1985, and sold in the state, must be designed and made to provide an area to affix the registration number. This area shall be at a location and of dimensions prescribed by the commissioner.
