(a) A person may not be denied the right to purchase, own, possess, or carry a firearm solely on the basis that the person is a patient in the registry program. (b) A person may not be denied the right to purchase, own, possess, or carry a firearm solely on the basis that the person is 21 years of age or older and uses adult-use cannabis flower, adult-use cannabis products, lower-potency hemp edibles, or hemp-derived consumer products. (c) A state or local agency may not access a database containing the identities of patients in the registry program to obtain information for the purpose of approving or disapproving a person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm. (d) A state or local agency may not use information gathered from a database containing the identities of patients in the registry program to obtain information for the purpose of approving or disapproving a person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm. (e) A state or local agency may not inquire about a person's status as a patient in the registry program for the purpose of approving or disapproving the person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm. (f) A state or local agency may not inquire about the use of adult-use cannabis flower, adult-use cannabis products, lower-potency hemp edibles, or hemp-derived consumer products by a person 21 years of age or older for the purpose of approving or disapproving the person from purchasing, owning, possessing, or carrying a firearm.
