Minnesota Code § 375.32

INSURANCE POLICIES; PREMIUM, PAYMENT.

A county board may pay the premium on an insurance policy which insures a county officer or employee or a group of county officers or employees against liability for injuries to person or property within the limitations of section 375.31 . The payment shall not impose any liability upon the county. The insurance may be written by any insurance company authorized to transact business in Minnesota.
A county board may take action as necessary to bring the county and its officers and employees within the provisions and limitations of chapter 65B.
