An annual town meeting must convene at 9:00 a.m. unless the electors at the last annual meeting set a later time. The clerk shall call the meeting to order at a time set by the town board or by the electors at the last annual meeting. If the town board sets the time, it must do so on the day of the annual, or a special, town meeting. If no time is set, the clerk shall call the meeting to order between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. If the clerk is not there, the voters present may elect a chair by acclamation. The voters shall then choose a moderator for the meeting in the same way. The town board shall decide how much to pay the moderator.
