[Repealed, 2014 c 212 art 4 s 3 ] A division in the Department of Public Safety to be known as the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is hereby created, under the supervision and control of the superintendent of criminal apprehension, who shall be appointed by the commissioner and serve at the commissioner's pleasure in the unclassified service of the state civil service, to whom shall be assigned the duties and responsibilities described in this section. [Repealed, 1984 c 649 s 6 ] The Division of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension shall perform such functions and duties as relate to statewide and nationwide crime information systems as the commissioner may direct.
