Housing Prisoners; Prohibitions.

Sec. 65f.
(1) Beginning September 30, 1990, a prisoner who is serving a sentence for conviction of an assaultive crime shall not be placed in a privately owned, noncommercial residential dwelling used for housing prisoners.
(2) Beginning on the effective date of this section, for the purpose of housing prisoners, the department shall not open a facility in, or enter into a new contract for, a dwelling originally constructed and intended to be used to house 1 family.
