Sec. 16. In a criminal trial the people and the respondent shall each be entitled to 4 peremptory challenges and no more. In a civil trial the plaintiff and the defendant shall each be entitled to 2 peremptory challenges and no more. History: 1951, Act 179, Eff. Sept. 28, 1951
