Sec. 7. Within 2 weeks after an annual village election for members of the council, the council shall audit and settle the accounts of the treasurer and other officers of the village, and so far as practicable, of all persons having claims against the village. The council shall prepare a statement summarizing the results of the audit. History: 1895, Act 3, Imd. Eff.
