Sec. 6137. Any person indebted to a judgment debtor may pay to the clerk of the court the amount of his debt, or so much thereof as is necessary to satisfy the judgment and costs. The receipt of the clerk is a discharge of the indebtedness of such person to the judgment debtor to the extent of the amount so paid. The clerk shall apply such amount to the satisfaction of the judgment and costs, and any surplus shall be paid to the judgment debtor. History: 1961, Act 236, Eff. Jan. 1, 1963
