Sec. 318. (1) Each judge of the court of appeals may employ a research law clerk to assist the judge in connection with the work of his or her office. (2) A clerk shall be a Michigan resident and a graduate of a law school approved and accredited by the council of legal education of the American bar association. (3) A clerk shall be employed for a maximum of 5 years. (4) A clerk shall perform those duties prescribed by the court of appeals. History: Add. 1964, Act 281, Imd. Eff.
