Recording Fraudulent Conveyance of Realty; Penalty.

Sec. 1.
That whoever procures or places upon record any conveyance of real estate, with intent to deceive any person as to the identity of the grantor mentioned in such conveyance, shall upon conviction be punished by imprisonment in the state prison at hard labor, not to exceed 3 years, or by a fine not exceeding 5,000 dollars, or both, in the discretion of the court.
