Sec. 3507. The director shall establish a system of authorizing and regulating health maintenance organizations in this state to protect and promote the public health through the assurance that the organizations provide all of the following: (a) An acceptable quality of health care by qualified personnel. (b) Health care facilities, equipment, and personnel that may reasonably be required to economically provide health services. (c) Operational arrangements that integrate the delivery of various services. (d) Financially sound prepayment plans for meeting health care costs. History: Add. 2000, Act 252, Imd. Eff.
