Blanket Disability Insurance Policies; Issuance.

Sec. 3402e.
(1) An insurer authorized to write disability insurance in this state may issue blanket disability insurance policies.
(2) An insurer shall not deliver or issue for delivery in this state a blanket disability insurance policy unless a copy of the form of the policy is filed with and approved by the director.
(3) A blanket disability insurance policy is subject to sections 3474 and 3474a.

On the effective date of this amendatory act, an insurer may submit to the director of the department of insurance and financial services for approval any modification to policies and certificates that were approved before or on the effective date of this amendatory act, to conform with amendments made to the insurance code of 1956, 1956 PA 218, MCL 500.100 to 500.8302, by this amendatory act.
