Sec. 211. The commissioner may petition the circuit court for the county in which the examination is being carried on to issue a subpoena on behalf of the bureau requiring a person to appear before the bureau and be examined under oath with reference to any matter within the scope of an examination of a savings bank under this act, and to produce books, records, or papers. A failure to obey the subpoena of the circuit court may be punished by the circuit court as a contempt of the circuit court. History: 1996, Act 354, Imd. Eff. July 1, 1996
