Michigan Code § 462.303

Traffic Control Devices; Determination and Order by Department.

Sec. 303.
The department, at no cost to the freight railroads or adjacent property owners, may order traffic control devices at existing farm, other private, bicycle, and pedestrian crossings of the railroad tracks of a high speed rail corridor including signs, signals, crossing gates, movable barriers, or other devices. The department may determine the number, type, and location of signs, signals, gates, or other types of safety devices which shall conform as closely as possible with generally recognized national standards.
