Performance of Duties of Commissioner; Assistance From All Departments, State Agencies, Public Bodies Corporate, Committees, Commissioners, Officers of State, and Any Political Subdivision.

Sec. 9a.
All departments, state agencies, public bodies corporate, committees, commissioners, or officers of this state, and any political subdivision of this state, so far as is compatible with their duties, shall give the commissioner or his or her designee any necessary assistance required by the commissioner in the performance of the duties of the commissioner. All departments, state agencies, public bodies corporate, committees, commissioners, or officers of this state, and any political subdivision of this state, shall provide the commissioner free access to any book, record, or document in their custody relating to the matters within the scope of the commissioner in the performance of his or her duties.
