Sec. 7a. A township board or village council may appropriate money to establish a township or village scale for the weighing of farm produce and for other purposes. Money appropriated shall be assessed, levied, and collected in the same manner as other expenses of the township or village are assessed, levied, and collected. The maintenance, management, and control of the scales shall be under the direction of the township board or village council. The expense connected with the scales shall be paid in the same manner as other expenses of the township or village are paid. History: Add. 1989, Act 82, Imd. Eff. June 20, 1989
