Sec. 57c. If a minor parent applies for family independence program assistance, the department shall do all of the following: (a) Inform the minor parent of the eligibility requirements of section 57b(2) and the circumstances under which there is good cause for permitting the minor parent to live in an adult-supervised household other than the home of his or her parent or legal guardian. (b) Complete a home visit or other appropriate investigation before requiring a minor parent to live with his or her parent, stepparent, or legal guardian. (c) If applicable, assist the minor parent to find an adult-supervised household in which to live. (d) Inform the minor parent of the requirement to attend school full-time.
