Sec. 253. The auditor general may audit selected enrollments, degrees, and awards at selected independent colleges and universities receiving awards that are administered by the department of lifelong education, advancement, and potential. The audits must be based on definitions and requirements established by the department of lifelong education, advancement, and potential, the state budget director, and the senate and house fiscal agencies. The auditor general shall accept the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form as the standard of residency documentation. History: Add. 2011, Act 62, Eff.
