Sec. 503. If it receives a complaint, the department shall immediately begin an investigation of the allegations of the complaint and shall open a correspondence file. Within 15 days after it receives a complaint, the department shall make a written acknowledgment of the complaint to the person that made the complaint. If the complaint is made by the department, the director shall designate 1 or more employees of the department to act as the person that made the complaint. History: 2016, Act 407, Eff. Apr. 4, 2017
