Sec. 5828. The administrator of a hospital shall provide a bed in the hospital to which a child or youth with special health care needs is assigned for operation or treatment, or both, of the child's disease or specified medical condition. The physician or surgeon approved by the department shall proceed as promptly as necessary to perform or give a necessary operation or treatment. History: 1978, Act 368, Eff.
