Sec. 20164. (1) Except as provided in part 209, a license, certification, provisional license, or limited license is valid for not more than 1 year after the date of issuance. (2) A license, certification, or certificate of need is not transferable and must state the persons, buildings, and properties to which it applies. Applications for licensure or certification because of transfer of ownership or essential ownership interest must not be acted upon until satisfactory evidence is provided of compliance with part 222. (3) If ownership is not voluntarily transferred, the department must be notified immediately and the new owner shall apply for a license and certification not later than 30 days after the transfer.
