Sec. 16296. A person who uses a title regulated by this article without a registration or under a suspended, revoked, or fraudulently obtained registration, or who uses as his or her own the registration of another person is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable as follows: (a) For the first offense, by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or a fine of $100.00, or both. (b) For the second or subsequent offense, by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine of not less than $300.00 nor more than $1,000.00, or both. History: 1978, Act 368, Eff.
