Michigan Code § 324.11715d

Advisory Committee to Make Recommendations on Septage Waste Storage Facility Management Practices.

Sec. 11715d.
(1) Within 60 days after the effective date of the amendatory act that added this section, the department shall convene an advisory committee to make recommendations on septage waste storage facility management practices, including, but not limited to, storage facility inspections. The advisory committee shall include at least all of the following:
(a) A storage facility operator.
(b) A receiving facility operator.
(c) A generator of septage waste.
(d) A representative of township government.
(e) A representative of an environmental protection organization.
(f) A licensed Michigan septage waste hauler.
(2) Within 18 months after the effective date of this section, the department shall establish generally accepted septage storage facility management practices and post the management practices on the department's website.
(3) A person shall not construct a septage waste storage facility without written approval from the department.
