Short Title.

Sec. 1.
This act shall be known and may be cited as the "interstate compact for juveniles".
History: 2003, Act 56, Imd. Eff. July 14, 2003 Compiler's Notes: Article X, Section B, of the Compact provides:“The compact shall become effective and binding upon legislative enactment of the compact into law by no less than 35 of the states. The initial effective date shall be the later of July 1, 2004 or upon enactment into law by the 35th jurisdiction. Thereafter it shall become effective and binding as to any other compacting state upon enactment of the compact into law by that state.”On July 14, 2003, the State of Michigan became the twelfth state to enact the Compact.
