Sec. 5a. (1) The commanding officer may perform random performance audits of the criminal and juvenile history record information required under this act. (2) If the commanding officer finds during a performance audit that criminal or juvenile history record information is not being supplied as required under this act, the commanding officer shall report this fact to the attorney general.
