Sec. 15. On or before the first day of January of each year in which a regular session of the legislature is held, the commissioner shall make and file with the governor a report covering the preceding biennial period, covering the activities of the department and the receipts and disbursements made thereby. Said report shall be accompanied by the recommendations of the commissioner with reference to such changes in the laws applying to or affecting the department as the said commissioner may deem expedient. All salaries and expenses hereby authorized shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries and expenses of other state officers and employes are paid. History: 1935, Act 59, Imd. Eff.
