Sec. 484. (1) The state budget director, in consultation with the auditor general, shall develop a system of reporting and a general framework which shall be used by the principal departments in performing evaluations on their respective internal control systems. (2) The state budget director, in consultation with the auditor general, may modify the format for the report or the framework for conducting the evaluations after giving 30 days' notice to each principal department head and the senate and house appropriations committees.
