Sec. 23. Subject to section 15, the secretary of state shall promulgate rules for the withdrawal of funds from a committee account for petty cash expenditures and for keeping records of the withdrawals. A single expenditure from a petty cash fund shall not exceed $50.00. A person who violates this section is subject to a civil fine of 3 times the amount by which the expenditure exceeds $50.00, but the fine shall not exceed $1,000.00. History: 1976, Act 388, Eff.
