Sec. 720i. (1) An early voting site is subject to the same requirements as a polling place except that an early voting site may do either or both of the following: (a) Serve electors from more than 6 precincts. (b) Serve electors from more than 1 municipality located in a county. (2) An early voting site is not subject to the limit on the number of electors assigned to a precinct as provided in section 661. (3) The location and number of early voting sites must be selected by taking into consideration expected turnout, population density, public transportation, accessibility, travel time, traffic patterns, and any other factors that election officials consider necessary to enhance the accessibility of early voting sites. (4) The location of each early voting site must be finalized no later than 60 days before election day. (5) On each day of early voting, each registered and qualified elector present and in line at the early voting site at the hour prescribed for the closing of the early voting site must be allowed to vote.
