Sec. 1. (1) This act shall be known and may be cited as the "regulatory boards and commissions ethics act". (2) As used in this act: (a) "Board" means a board, commission, committee, or subcommittee in the department that has authority in regulatory actions concerning private individuals or entities. (b) "Department" means the department of licensing and regulatory affairs. (c) "Immediate family member" means a grandparent, parent, parent-in-law, stepparent, sibling, spouse, child, or stepchild.
