Sec. 17. (1) After a public hearing on the rehabilitation plan as provided in section 16, the township board shall determine whether the rehabilitation plan constitutes a public purpose. If it determines that the rehabilitation plan constitutes a public purpose, the township board, by resolution, shall approve or reject the plan, or approve it with modification, based on all of the following considerations: (a) The plan meets the requirements set forth in section 15. (b) The proposed method of financing the rehabilitation is feasible and the authority has the ability to arrange the financing. (c) The rehabilitation is reasonable and necessary to carry out the purposes of this act. (d) The rehabilitation plan is in reasonable accord with the master plan of the township. (2) Amendments to an approved rehabilitation plan shall be submitted by the authority to the township board for approval or rejection. History: 1986, Act 59, Imd. Eff. Mar. 26, 1986
