Massachusetts Code § 266-96

State building; defacement or injury

Section 96. Whoever wilfully, intentionally and without right defaces, mars or injures the walls, wainscoting or any other part of any building belonging to the commonwealth, or the appurtenances thereof, by cutting, writing or otherwise, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than two years. Any person convicted under the provisions of this section shall, in addition to any fine assessed, reimburse the commonwealth for the total amount of damages incurred.
